BGSU Firelands: 50 Scholarships for 50th Anniversary

Dear BGSU Alumni & Friends
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of BGSU Firelands!
To commemorate this momentous occasion, our goal is to establish at least 50 new scholarships to be awarded to deserving students in 2016. Scholarships will be used toward tuition, fees and books.
For some potential students, financial need is the sole roadblock to fulfillment of their dreams of a college education.
BGSU Firelands offers many scholarships each year, but there are approximately 150 more applicants than available scholarships. Our goal is to close that gap so that financial needs of far more potential students can be met.
Kierston Rospert, a Firelands scholarship recipient, said receiving this private financial support was a tremendous relief that made a very real difference in her life.
"Scholarships, in general, lift a huge weight off of a college student's shoulders. I believe every scholarship given represents a dream one step closer to fulfillment. It would have been considerably more challenging for me to attend classes this year without the generosity of donors. It truly was a relief to know that I could afford school this year without the stress of going into debt!"
Every gift is appreciated and will be personally recognized and listed on the donor wall at this site unless anonymity is requested.
Donors of $500 or more will be honored and publicly recognized at a special event where each donor will personally meet the recipient of their scholarship. Donors of $1,000 or more will also be recognized as a member of BGSU's Leadership Circle for 2016.

One donor individually will fund one scholarship to be applied toward tuition and/or books. For your generosity, you will also be matched with a scholarship recipient and have the opportunity to meet the scholarship recipient at an awards event to take place on the BGSU Firelands campus.

One donor individually will fund two scholarships to be applied toward tuition and/or books,. To thank you for your generosity, you will be matched with two scholarship recipients and have the opportunity to meet the scholarship recipients at an awards event to take place on the BGSU Firelands Campus. At this level you will also be a member of the BGSU Leadership Circle for 2016.
