BGSU Ending Hunger is the food insecurity initiative on campus supported by the Center for Community & Civic Engagement. It is the University's promise to address food insecurity through strategic planning and implementation. Everyone deserves to be in a food secure situation where they know where their next healthy meal is coming from, however 1 in 7 Americans experiences food insecurity and pilot data indicates that over 41% of BGSU students also struggle. Although the challenge of ending hunger seems impossible, it is possible to make a difference!
This Giving Tuesday, BGSU Ending Hunger is raising funds for Grab-N-Go bags for food insecure students. One bag will supply a student with enough food for three days worth of meals.
Grab-N-Go bags are distributed from The Office of the Dean of Students in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. If you or someone you know is food insecure, please visit The Office of the Dean of Students.
