Hello! My name is Noah Brown and I am a senior in my professional year studying Adolescent/Young Adult Integrated Mathematics Education. I am originally from Cincinnati, OH and since coming to BGSU I have done tons of things on and off campus to make Bowling Green, OH my home away from home. On campus, I have been involved in the Office of Residence Life as a resident advisor in Founders Hall, the Office of Admissions as a student tour guide and in the College of Education and Human Development through various projects and organizations such as Math Camp and Bowling Green Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Some of my other involvements include a study abroad to China and a future trip to Thailand, a year in a Greek organization, a speaker at the first-year student convocation, being a Morale Captain for BGSU Dance Marathon and more!
For my Falcon Funded Homecoming campaign, I have chosen to raise money for the College of Education and Human Development. This college on BGSU’s campus sees tons of new students each year, and continues to grow and plant seeds by the day. With the help of any donations, I hope that the College of EDHD can help provide and serve its students with more professional development opportunities, more opportunities for organizations to grow or even scholarships so that it can help those who may not have had a chance at college until then. BGSU’s College of EDHD is nationally ranked, and I am so thankful to be a part of something so great that has given me endless opportunities.
Almost everything that I have done at BGSU in my four years here has been funneled through the College of EDHD, and I have no doubt in my mind that I would not be where I am now without the help of the programs, classes, faculty and students in this College. It is an honor to not only represent BGSU during such a special week, but also to proudly represent the College of EDHD. Through my coursework, work with K-12 students in Northwest, Ohio, study abroad trips, relationships and friendships that I have created, I owe it all to EDHD. BGSU and the College of EDHD has shaped me into both the person, and student, I am, and because of that I know that I am best prepared to go out into the world to teach.
Again, it is such an honor to represent BGSU and the College of EDHD, and I hope that you will consider donating to my Falcon Funded campaign so that even more students can have the rich and life changing experience that I have. Thank you!
