Support Women's Club Hockey Startup

The mission of the BGSU Women's Club Hockey team is to provide the best possible environment for our women to reach their maximum playing potential through excellence in coaching and support.

The BGSU Women's Club Hockey team is a group of like-minded women who all have a passion for playing the same sport. Our team has played hockey nearly our whole lives, and I speak for the entire team when I say we were each crushed upon coming to BGSU and finding that there was nowhere for us to play. However, through the amazing support of BGSU, countless members of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), and many others, we were able to start a women's team here on campus. After a year of hard work, we've overcome many hurdles and have finally achieved minimal funding in order to buy ice time for practices. While we are ecstatic to receive support from BGSU, we are not yet playing games this season and know the costs of what will come next year with ACHA registration and a full game schedule. So far, we have been working hard to get ahead of the costs by fundraising and minimizing spending this year but know this program won't take off the ground without the help of others.

By donating to the Women's Club Hockey team, you aren't just helping the current players on the team, you are helping a program start up that could last decades. By helping our team in the first few years, you are able to give us time to build a better player base, become accredited in the ACHA and fine tune our program without us having to charge our players thousands of dollars to play a sport they love.
