Support the Falcon Swing Society
The purpose of the Falcon Swing Society is to provide Bowling Green State University students, faculty, staff and members of the Bowling Green community with instruction in and exposure to the various forms of American Vernacular dance, specifically swing dance. Falcon Swing does this by offering lessons and workshops, organizing social dances, providing instruction on DJ’ing for swing and blues dancing, putting on the Falcon Lindy Extravaganza (FLEX) and providing opportunities to head to outside exchanges.
Since 2010, Falcon Swing has been hosting a weekend dance event, bringing in dancers from across the country. The scale and popularity of this event has been increasing from year to year. By creating a free event for BGSU students, faculty and staff, we will be able to better meet our goals of sharing American Vernacular dance with the BGSU community.
Additionally, Falcon Swing would like to raise funds for students to attend exchanges across the Midwest. Students have always had to attend outside events on their own dime, making it so that very few students can regularly attend these exchanges. By raising funds, we will be able to send students who otherwise would not be able to attend events outside of Bowling Green.
Hosting an amazing Falcon Lindy Extravaganza and sending students to outside events gives BGSU a strong level of representation across the United States and increases our chances of bringing in better teachers to BGSU in future years. Your gift helps the entire club create an event of a lifetime and create memories that will last well beyond our four years at BG. Your contribution will help us offset the costs of transportation, registration fees, housing, meals and instructor fees. We cannot thank you enough for the help and will continue to impress across the Midwest!

At this donation level, you will help provide gas for a student to travel to and from a dance exchange! You will receive a personalized thank you note from a member of our club who your donation will directly impact in the spring!

Exchange Master
At this donation level, you will help cover the cost of registration for a student to attend a dance event! This covers their whole weekend dance pass for lessons and for nightly dances. As a thank you, you will receive a handwritten thank you note from a member who your donation will directly help in the spring along with a signed photo of our club members!

At this donation level, you will help cover the cost of housing an instructor at FLEX. As a thank you, you will receive a hand-written thank you from a Falcon Swing Officer, a signed photo of our club members and a thank you video from an officer!

At this donation level, you will be helping to bring a member of our band, from singer to drummer to sax to trumpet, to FLEX. You will be recognized as a sponsor for FLEX 2020, as well as receive a picture of the club, a handwritten thank you note from the members of Falcon Swing Society and a personalized thank you video from the officer board!

At this donation level, you would help cover the cost of an instructor. With a contribution at this level, you will receive a one-on-one lesson with any of our members either in person or online, a personalized thank you video from the entire membership, and a signed thank you from our members.
