By supporting the College of Health and Human Services, you make it possible for us to attract and retain a high-achieving, diverse student body. You also help defray tuition costs for deserving students studying criminal justice, food and nutrition, gerontology, long-term care administration, health services administration, medical laboratory sciences, nursing, public health, social work, speech-language pathology and pre-professional degrees in allied health.

Fund Designations

College of Health and Human Services General Support Fund - This fund supports the greatest needs of the College of Health and Human Services. From enhancing student learning, to recruitment, programming research, professional development and more, every student and faculty member in the College of Health and Human Services is impacted by this fund.

HHS Leadership Council Gap Scholarship Fund - This scholarship, originally funded by the College of Health and Human Services’ Leadership Council, provides annual gap scholarships, typically between $500 and $1,000, to students in need. When facing a financial hardship, this extra gap funding can often be the deciding factor that allows students the opportunity to complete their degree.

Food Insecurity Support Fund - Gifts to this fund will support food security efforts for all BGSU students, faculty and staff on the Bowling Green and Huron campuses, including two food pantries.

Dr. Linda Petrosino Pillars Fund - Originally started by former College of Health and Human Services Dean Dr. Linda Petrosino, this fund provides students with financial support for research opportunities, clinical placements, field experiences and internships, master's thesis and dissertation research and/or emergency funding.

Speech and Hearing Clinic Fund - The Speech and Hearing Clinic offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic speech, language and hearing services, and is open to the public and serves all ages. The clinic provides an important community service as well as serving as a training facility for master's and doctoral-level speech-language pathologists. This fund provides for the greatest needs of the Speech and Hearing Clinic.
