As alumni and friends of BGSU's Alumni Laureate Scholarship (ALS) program, we are seeking donations in conjunction with this year's Freddie and Frieda Philanthropy Run/Walk during Homecoming (Sept. 30-Oct.1). This Alumni Laureate Scholarship is important to BGSU students because it provides one of only three full-tuition scholarship opportunities for incoming students at BGSU.
More than a full-tuition scholarship, the BGSU Alumni Laureate Scholarship is a distinctive, prestigious program funded by our most generous alumni and friends in order to provide recipients with eight uninterrupted Fall and Spring semesters of support from caring mentors. Mentors challenge students to broaden their perspectives, prioritize goals, network with alumni and professional contacts, and frame success through the values of leadership and service
The scholarship currently covers the cost of any educational expenses up to the cost of full-time in-state undergraduate tuition and includes a $1,000 book award each year.
The program allows students to take part in leadership workshops, community engagement activities, and meetings with University, community and alumni leaders and volunteers. The ALS program also includes monthly cohort meetings, one-on-ones with the program adviser and the opportunity to serve BGSU and the local community.
Your Support Matters
As the ALS program continues to grow, so does the need for private funding. Your support can change lives for the world in proving a unique BGSU experience to current and future generations of ALS students.
Thank you for making a difference for current and future Falcons.
