Help the BGSU Falcon Flight Team Soar!

About the Falcon Flight Team

The Falcon Flight Team is a group of highly motivated college students who love aviation. We are educated in Aviation Studies at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. We re-established our group to compete in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) competition. This campus team has been dormant for more than 10 years. By competing in NIFA, we sharpen our aviation knowledge, navigation and flying skills.

From flight missions, such as aerial navigation, landing events and message drops, to ground competitions ranging from aircraft recognition to preflight inspections, our team of students emphasizes the safety involved with aviation while having fun.

Competing Nationally

Our goal is to become a top competitor at the national level. The Falcon Flight Team also aims to host the NIFA SAFECON Region III Competition within the next four years. Universities throughout the nation have flight teams as on-campus organizations and are registered with NIFA. Students, coaches, and mentors compete in regional and national NIFA-sanctioned events. Regional competitions take place in the fall among a smaller number of teams and national competitions take place in the spring. Teams proceed from the regional events to the national level.

What this projects means for BGSU students

This project is very important to our team for many reasons. In a professional manner, we aim to build a competitive flight organization capable of excelling now and in the future. By having a successful year in competition, we will be able to pass down this tradition to future students.

Your donation matters

Your investment in our project will enable us to afford more aerial practice time and will make us more competitive at our events. With the generosity of donors like you, we will be able to practice at our home base at the Wood County Regional Airport and travel to the competitions throughout the year. There are many costs involved in making our organization’s success a reality. Some specific levels of giving associated with our various expenses are listed at the right, but a donation of any amount will help!
