Center for Leadership
Hello, my name is Austin Gilbert and I am currently a senior studying Communication from Forest, Ohio. On campus, I am a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, serve as the Vice President of Membership Development for the Interfraternity Council, and work as a Student Leadership Assistant in the Center for Leadership.
The fund that I have chosen to support is the Center for Leadership; an office that has an immense impact on students. The Center for Leadership teaches students leadership skills to be used inside and outside the classroom, as well as in the world beyond BGSU. Focusing on personal values and purpose, the Center for Leadership emphasizes ethical leadership practices to develop individuals into the best that they can be. Beyond that, all Center for Leadership resources are free and open to all students- making them accessible to anyone who has the desire to be a better leader.
I have picked this fund due to the immense impact that it has had on my college experience. I have been a part of the Center for Leadership for the entirety of my college experience, starting as a member of the Falcon Leadership Institute my first year. Since that first experience, the Center for Leadership has served as a constant support system and encouraging force to be the best version of myself in all aspects of my being.
A gift to the Center for Leadership will ensure that future falcons can also learn to be the best versions of themselves.
