Support High-Impact Practices in the BGSU Honors College!
The opportunity for Bowling Green State University Honors College students to conduct research, study abroad, and complete Honors Projects in a tight-knit community is integral to students' success and vital to the holistic nature of their education. The Honors Project is a self-designed, capstone experience intended to showcase the breadth and depth of a student’s learning within a fairly narrowly defined area of interdisciplinary study. The Honors Project can be a traditional thesis, but it also can take on a number of other, different forms that suit an individual student’s interests, areas of expertise, and dominant learning style(s). Examples include senior recitals in music, juried arts shows, screen/stage plays, book manuscripts, and service learning projects. These high-impact practices foster development as individuals by helping students learn and grow outside of the classroom in interesting and unique ways.
These particular opportunities allow students to actively engage with the Honors College Learning Outcomes:
Students graduating from the BGSU Honors College are leaving the University with a set of skills that will enhance their character and education to become active professionals, community leaders, and global members.
The Honors College is seeking funds to help enable our students' participation in high-impact practices that are integral to the Honors College experience. The $1,500 raised through this campaign will be used to support research, purchase materials, pay for passports and visas, and fund Honors Projects!
