Make a Gift in Honor of Falcon Flames

Did you meet your spouse as BGSU students, or did you find each other after graduation? Regardless of when or where you met, when two Falcon Alumni come together and get married, you become Falcon Flames!

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, more than 250 Falcon Flame couples gathered together for a Vow Renewal Ceremony at Prout Chapel on the Bowling Green campus. In celebration of this event, we encourage all Falcon Flames to make a gift of $19.22 or more to BGSU’s Center for Family & Marriage Research.

About the National Center for Family & Marriage Research

The National Center for Family & Marriage Research (NCFMR) was established in 2007 to improve our understanding of how family structure is linked to the health and well-being of children, adults, families, and communities and to inform policy development and programmatic responses.

The NCFMR’s mission is threefold: research, training, and dissemination. Their team of faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students:

  • Supports research on key questions about the effects of family structure and processes on the health and well-being of children, adults, families, and communities as well as the influences of programs and policies on marriage;
  • Builds research capacity with improved data and methods and brings together a multidisciplinary network of scholars;
  • Mentors and trains students and junior professionals, ensuring advancement in research on family structure; and
  • Translates research to broad communities, e.g., researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

More information about the NCFMR can be found online at https://www.bgsu.edu/ncfmr.html.
