Send Horn Club to the 50th International Horn Symposium
The BGSU Horn Club is a student ensemble comprised of horn enthusiasts from both the undergraduate and graduate level with varying majors like business and music education. The BGSU Horn Club received an invitation from the International Horn Society to perform at the 50th annual International Horn Symposium this summer in Muncie, Indiana. The symposium is a six-day conference offering masterclasses, lectures, competitions and recitals performed by distinguished professionals from around the world. These masterclasses and lectures range from specific history about the horn, playing techniques from around the world such as Classical Indian improvisation, pedagogical advice for educators of how to manage a studio and an in-depth discussion on one of the leading pedagogical figures in the horn world.
BGSU Horn Club is one of ten university horn choirs from around the country to be selected to perform at the biggest annual gathering of horn players. This performance will also feature the premiere of a composition from one of our members! Money raised will go towards travel costs, meals, hotel rooms and registration for the symposium. A gift of any amount is appreciated and will help lower the cost each BGSU Horn Club member will pay out of pocket for this experience!
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talents of BGSU students at the international level and we hope you will show your support today!
