Students and staff at WBGU-TV are seeking funding for a remote control camera and on-air sports graphic package to enhance the viewer’s experience on WBGU-TV broadcast of four BGSU Hockey games. After the success of broadcasting two games last year, for the first time in over 30 years, we are very excited to bring four live broadcasts to BGSU hockey fans.
This project will give students seeking a career in television production the opportunity to work on a live television production and help them build a powerful resume for after graduation.
Plus, broadcasting Falcon sports into homes in 19 Northwest Ohio counties will help the station and University connect with the 40,000 BGSU alumni and the thousands of Falcon sports fans living in the area.
The PTZ Remote Control Camera will allow students to place the camera in hard-to-reach areas getting shots that would be impossible without it and giving fans a superior viewing experience.
The sports graphic package will give the broadcast a professional and polished look while providing students the training and experience of working with the latest graphics software that is an industry standard.
This helps us get the project started. Truly, this proves every gift helps.
