What it Means to the Team

This trip is extremely important to the BGSU Women's Volleyball Program. Traveling overseas and experiencing foreign cultures together will unify our team in a very unique way. It will leave us with lifelong memories and experiences that only we as a team can forever share. These experiences will create a strong bond and connection within the team both on and off the court. This trip will also expose our team to international competition so that we can sharpen our skills and measure our progress on an international basis, encouraging our growth and improvement on the court.  This experience will launch us into the 2016 season and place us in a position to take on all our opponents in the Mid-American Conference.

More About the Trip

This trip is more than just an opportunity for the team to compete internationally and prepare for the coming MAC season. This trip will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our team. We travel for 10 days in May through Europe. For most of us, this will be the first time we get to experience Italy, Croatia, and Bosnia. In addition to learning about the cities we visit, we will have the unique chance to play once in Bosnia, three times in Croatia, and twice in Italy. For a few of the girls, this will be their chance to play close to home, and their first opportunity for their families to see them play in their collegiate career.

This would not be possible without your generous donations. Your donation helps the team to experience international competition and the chance for us to learn first-hand about different cultures. The experience of traveling abroad will enrich our lives and create memories that will last a lifetime. But we are only able to accomplish this because of kind donors like you. We could not be more grateful for this opportunity as we are working hard in the gym and in the classroom this spring. We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received and for the opportunity to represent Bowling Green State University overseas.
