Who we are: Inclusive and Culturally Responsive Educators:

The purpose of this organization is to promote a safe space for educators of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds to discuss the struggle of being in a predominantly Caucasian career path as a minority and also the importance and impact our representation has on our students.  Understanding this concept, and building upon this through discussion, guest speakers, volunteer work and building unity among educators, we can create a diverse, empathetic teaching force that is equipped to understand, embrace and educate about the new cultures, and be understanding and a role model and figure of representation for students and families from diverse backgrounds.
-ICRE Preable

Last year we used funding from our donors to bring in guest speaker Mona Al Hayani, teacher of the year and send members to a virtual conference. We had the opportunity to hear from Ruby Bridges and many other wonderful speakers. Your donation will help us to continue supporting, educating, and providing opportunities for preservice teachers at Bowling Green State University.
