BGSU Horn Club Trip to the 55th Annual Symposium of the International Horn Society

The BGSU Horn Club is a student organization comprised of students from a variety of majors, both within and outside of the College of Musical Arts. Under the baton of BGSU horn professor Dr. Andrew Pelletier, the Horn Club frequently performs and commissions new works for horn ensemble; this October members of the Horn Club performed a recent piece by Andrew Sigler at the 42nd Annual New Music Festival in Bowling Green.

The Horn Club is planning a trip to the 55th Annual Symposium of the International Horn Society (IHS) in 2023. The IHS Symposium is an annual conference hosted by the International Horn Society (of which Dr. Pelletier recently finished his term as President!) and forms a bustling meeting ground for the international horn community. Every year, the IHS rotates between meeting in the United States and abroad, and is the only event of its nature in which horn players, teachers, and composers convene. Members of the Horn Club are looking forward to an international trip in 2023 to perform at the 55th IHS Symposium!
