The SICSIC Support Scholarship
In the dead of night on October 5, 1946, six individuals were specifically handpicked by the President of Bowling Green State University, Frank Prout, to form the official spirit crew for BGSU. Their mission: "do all in our power to help make Bowling Green State University a better place by promoting school spirit and goodwill among the students and faculty." And from this, SICSIC was born.
For more than 70 years, SICSIC has forever changed Bowling Green State University. The students who serve the BGSU community through this group are dedicated and passionate Falcons. With a three-year commitment, much of their student experience happens in secret behind a mask. As we reflect back on all SICSIC has done to strengthen BGSU, the impact has been tremendous. Now, we look to the future of our campus's oldest student organization, and hope to establish a new scholarship that will directly support these spirited students. With your support, SICSIC will continue to thrive and represent all that makes Bowling Green State University a special place.
For our $500 and above supporters, we have created a special ‘Thank You!’ for your contribution. Our active SICSIC members will contact you to design a custom SICSIC Sez…sign! You will be sent a framed photo of the members holding your sign on campus!

Mask
The mask is a trademark of SICSIC. Whether it’s Frosty the Snowman, Laura Bush, or Miss Piggy, the true identities of these students are concealed behind a mask they select to wear for three years. By supporting this scholarship, you will ensure the BGSU community continues to question, “Who could be behind that mask?”

Secrecy
Since its inception, secrecy has been a founding principle of SICSIC. The students who are selected for this spirit group make a significant contribution to our campus and community without recognition or anyone knowing their name. Consider supporting the students who carry on this unique legacy!

Jumpsuit
The jumpsuits worn by each member help unite the group as one. They have served as a symbol of SICSIC for decades and continue to be a useful, iconic uniform. Your gift at this level will ensure that the creation of this scholarship will support ‘the suit’ for years to come!

As one of BGSU’s longest-standing traditions, SICSIC is ingrained into our history.
